Incorporated on 21 June 1999 as an e-commerce service provider, Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd was granted by the Government of Malaysia the exclusive right to implement and operate the Government’s electronic procurement system, ePerolehan.
Commerce Dot Com is an MSC-status company with a mission to provide their clients with state-of-the-art technology to enable electronic commerce particularly electronic procurement, which is safe, intuitive and convenient thus allowing buyers and sellers to transact more efficiently and leverage on their existing trading relationships.
Requirements / Problems / Issues
Commerce Dot Com conducts Enablement trainings Supplier and Government officials on the use of various ePerolehan modules. Company operates over 40 training centre all over West and East Malaysia. Managing booking across all these centres and planning for trainers was getting difficult with time. Also tracking of revenue was questionable.
SoftSolvers Solution
SoftSolvers proposed a web based custom solution with robust architecture. The Training Booking System was designed as an intuitive, easy-to-use course administration database system used to schedule training courses and to administer bookings, which can cater to complete online booking management for multiple locations, rooms, and courses.
TBS also integrate with other backend systems SoftContact, SRM and financial systems to provide timely and up-to-date booking information to Sales & Customer support and Finance personnel for tracking payments.
TBS becomes the integral part of the overall Enablement programme.
Technology Platform
SoftSolvers used Microsoft based, a flexible and generic architecture for web based applications, using Active Server Pages, with business logic encapsulated in VB COM and MTS. Rational tool suite was used for Requirements management, design, testing and defect management. In addition SoftSolvers used Visual Studio for development and VSS for configuration management.
