Kulicke & Soffa, incorporated in 1951 and comprising over 3,100 employees worldwide, provides equipment, tools and materials that are used in the production of a wide range of semiconductor devices. Primary markets for K&S products and services include Asia, US, Europe and Japan.

Requirements / Problems / Issues
With the rapidly increasing company size due to acquisitions and growing number of customers, KNS was having hard time with its multiple systems for tracking issues with its customers. Existing systems were on multiple platforms requiring KNS IT to maintain different skill sets.

SoftSolvers Solution
SoftSolvers proposed a custom solution with robust architecture that is scalable for customers future business needs. It was designed to centralize the Customer Issue Tracking across all locations of KNS.

Customer Issue Tracking System was designed to centralize tracking of customer issues. It comprises of modules for managing master data used throughout the application, Issue management module, where issues are created by Users or by admin on behalf of them. The system follows complex rules of auto assigning, routing, escalation, etc to cater to specific needs of different divisions of KNS.

System also provides users to view many statistical reports and also allow them to export them to excel for offline analysis and presentation.

Technology Platform
SoftSolvers used .Net based a flexible and generic N-tier architecture for the CITS application, with Oracle 10g as backend database. Rational tool suite was used for Requirements management, design, testing and defect management. In addition SoftSolvers used Visual Studio 2005 for development and VSS for configuration management.
